privacy policy.

the short version: we keep what we need to make and drop your drinks, we never see your card, and we only email you offers if you ask us to.

who we are. DrinkDrop is run by [legal entity name], company no. [number], [registered address]. When you order from us or make an account, we are the data controller for your personal information. Contact: [contact email].

what we collect.

  • your name, email and phone number
  • the delivery address and postcode
  • the party details you give us: the date, start time, a rough guest count and any notes for the driver
  • your order, what it cost and its history
  • a business name and VAT number on trade orders
  • account details if you save them: your email, name, phone and a password if you set one
  • your marketing preference, only if you opt in
  • your cart and draft order, kept in your own browser so a refresh doesn't lose them

what we don't collect. card details. Payments are taken by Stripe on Stripe's own pages. We never see or store your card number.

why we use it.

  • to price, make and drop your order, and to email the confirmation (to perform our contract with you)
  • so the driver can reach you on the day (contract)
  • to check you are over 18 and that someone over 18 takes the drop (a legal obligation under the Licensing Act 2003)
  • to run your account if you make one (contract)
  • to send you news and offers, only if you opted in; you can opt out any time (consent)
  • to keep order and invoice records for tax, and to deal with any dispute (legal obligation and our legitimate interests)

who helps us. This site and our orders run on OrderMango, the ordering platform that hosts it and stores your order. Stripe handles payments. Resend sends our emails. Google suggests your address as you type it. Our drivers see the name, address and phone number for the drop. Each of them only gets what they need for the job.

how long we keep it. Orders and invoices for six years (tax law). Your account until you close it, or after two years without an order. A draft order you never placed, thirty days. Marketing consent until you withdraw it.

your rights. You can ask for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, take it elsewhere, and withdraw consent at any time. Email [contact email]. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

cookies and storage. One cookie if you sign in, to keep you signed in. Your browser's own storage for the cart and the draft order. No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels.

changes. If we change this policy we will post the new version here with a new date.
